After delivery
The roadmap evolves with business changes and risk decisions. Specialist assessment, implementation or incident work can be scoped around it.
What shapes scope and price
Leadership access, meeting cadence, programme complexity, assurance workload and hands-on delivery requirements determine the proposal. The role does not automatically include continuous operational monitoring.

Does a vCISO replace our IT provider?
No. The role guides security priorities and governance. Your IT team and suppliers retain their agreed operational responsibilities.
Can you help with supplier questionnaires?
Yes, within scope. Responses must be based on evidence and accurate statements of your controls; unsupported compliance claims are avoided.
Can a vCISO engagement begin as a focused project?
Yes. A defined risk review or roadmap can establish priorities before deciding whether ongoing advisory support is useful. The initial scope should identify deliverables, decision-makers and which activities need continuing ownership.
What does an ongoing advisory cadence cover?
The agreed cadence can review risks, progress against the roadmap, material changes and assurance needs. Reporting should support business decisions and identify accountable owners. Meeting frequency and hands-on delivery are specified for the engagement.
Who retains accountability for security decisions?
Your organisation retains accountability and approval authority. A vCISO provides advice, structure and evidence for decisions, working with management and technical teams. The role does not automatically assume operational monitoring or every IT responsibility.
